Brian Moody is an attorney dedicated to representing individuals and businesses in Springfield and the surrounding areas. Brian combines legal expertise with a personalized approach to help clients navigate their most challenging legal matters. Brian takes the time to understand each client’s unique situation and goals. He believes every client deserves to have a skilled and determined advocate by their side.
Prior to partnering with Tony Meyer in founding Meyer Moody, Brian practiced in the commercial trial practice group of a large firm with a national presence, where he represented businesses in commercial disputes at arbitration and at all levels of the Missouri court system, including winning a unanimous reversal in favor of a client at the Supreme Court of Missouri.
Brian is a graduate of the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law, where he was a member of the Veterans Law Clinic and the Landlord/Tenant Practicum. Brian also served as an associate member of the Journal of Dispute Resolution and an officer of the Christian Legal Society. After graduating law school, Brian briefly practiced in association with a respected insurance defense firm based in Kansas City before clerking for the Honorable Patricia Breckenridge (Ret.) of the Supreme Court of Missouri for more than four years.
Outside the practice, Brian is active in professional organizations. He published a well-received article regarding final judgments in civil actions in the Journal of The Missouri Bar, is an alumnus of The Missouri Bar’s 2022-2023 Leadership Academy, and serves as the district 11 representative of the Young Lawyers Section Council. In his community, Brian serves as chair of the board of directors for a local Springfield non-profit organization.
